Four cyclists have crashed into a dead pig in north Queensland during their morning ride and have been rushed to hospital.
The men were riding down Port Access Road at Stuart, about 10 kilometres south of Townsville, when they toppled over a dead pig on the road, just before 7am on Tuesday
One man, aged in his early 40s, suffered serious head injuries and was rushed to Townsville Hospital, Queensland Ambulance Service’s David Lowe said.
The three other riders, all aged in their late 30s, were also taken to Townsville Hospital, all in stable condition.
Two of those men suffered shoulder injuries, and the other“multiple abrasions”.
