Oliver and Charlotte are the top baby names in NSW for the third year running, but fewer parents overall are giving popular names to their newborns.
Data from the Registry of Births, Deaths and Marriages, released on Wednesday, showed Oliver is once again the state’s favourite name for boys, having been the most popular choice for the past six years.
It was closely followed by Noah, William and Jack. The same boys’ names have occupied the top four spots in NSW for the past seven years.
Charlotte was the top name for girls for the third year in a row, followed by Olivia, Mia and Amelia.
